Errands

Errands is the electro-acoustic/ambient music project of Nate Belasco. The music juxtaposes lush ethereal drones with more active sonic transfigurations, lulling the listener into fleeting trances which are snatched away without warning. The sound sources are quite varied, ranging from guitar, both live and heavily processed, to synthesizers and found sounds. The goal of this mini-album was to explore unconventional processes of sound manipulation and layering while never loosing sight of the tried and true elements of interesting music: melody and harmony. Too busy to be background music yet too tonal to be considered academic, Errands is something entirely its own.
